We decided to set ourselves a challenge when undertaking this conceptual project. The studio apartment was long but narrow, its defining characteristic being the single source of natural light coming from a large window at the far end of the space. Our goal was to create a separate sleeping area from the living area, while maximizing natural light in both spaces.
Another key element of the project was solving the common storage problems found in studio apartments. We therefore integrated custom-built storage units in the entrance to reduce clutter, creating a proper entryway without blocking light from any room.
Extending from these storage units, we added a false ceiling that extends into the kitchen, allowing us to define the different zones without the need for partitions.
In this project, we had to find simple yet clever solutions to make this small studio bright, comfortable, and perfectly organized.
